  • Travel blogging will be performed at The Royal Adventure, the new blog I set up for Kara and I to post to while we are gone.  Thus far, it just has a couple of test posts, but it will be all sorts of fun in a few weeks.
The one down side of the Tumblr platform is that it does not have built in commenting.  Thus, I have added another commenting platform called Disqus.  To use Disqus, you don't have to register for an account, but you do have to give your email.  If you are planning on commenting often, though, I would suggest going ahead and registering for Disqus.  It's easy and painless.
I'll probably still blog some on here, but I would check there first.

  • We finally got the visa acceptance emails yesterday, have booked our flights, and are making our last arrangements here.  Northern Ireland, here we come!

  • So, about Ireland.

We have some good great news - I got the bursary to Queen's!  Which means that we will be able to save a fair amount of money in student loans.

However, we are still waiting on our visas.  We sent in the final part of the application over two weeks ago; a week ago, I got an email saying that our proof of finances did not meet their requirements, so we sent them another round of paperwork.  Still haven't heard anything back.

Last year, God was teaching us about trust, when I couldn't join the Marines.  Now, I think he is teaching us about patience - and still about trust.

    Hopefully we'll hear soon.

  • Lessons learned so far this vacation: making friends with people who have huge condos, and who let you stay in their condos for free, is a good idea.  Also, fried oyster sandwiches are not as good as they sound.
